Objectives
FEMI is oriented towards the education of the child, because the child has the future, but is in need of our attention today. Good education, that means education that starts with the individuality of the child.FEMI wants to create opportunities, that can be done in may ways. A child without food cannot learn, so one starts thinking about food supplies. But if the soil is too dry, building pumps will be necessary, or water collecting devices to provide clean water. Sometimes it is best to talk with the parents and convince them of the benefits of a good education for their children’s future.
But FEMI will appeal always to the responsibility of the people themselves. FEMI does not want to help, but is seeking to co-operate with people, governments, local institutions, and companies on location. She is convinced of the importance to handle the resources of the land in a durable and ecologically well-balanced way.
Initial costs are accountable to FEMI, afterwards the costs are, as much as possible, considered a loan without interest, in favour of re-use on location.

Yojana supports small scale development projects for children,
their parents en their village in the Indian states Maharashtra and
Karnataka, together 13 times as great as the Netherlands. Yojana means
project as well as principle in the language of these states. The name
has been chosen because Yojana is only supporting projects executed by
local partners. The principle is: to allow people helping themselves.
Yojana is co-operating on a long time base with four local Indian
partners.
"EDU-KEY: Education is a matter that concerns everybody" is the title of the project that tries to break through the afore meant vicious circle. The parents should realize that education is very important to their children, being a fundamental right. They should put pressure on the authorities to improve the education. Goal is not to build new schools, but to improve the existing structures.
Depak Dudhale, Indian co-ordinator of EDU-KEY in a report on Yojana's
website: " Yesterday I spoke to Dadarao. He is the field co-ordinator of
EDU-KEY. We selected Dadarao for this job because he can convince
people. Furthermore he is interested deeply in education and in the type
of field work necessary to this project. He speaks so loud that he is
audible in a big group without a microphone. He is from Kerwadi, the
village with our centre and the Dreamland nursery school. Although
little educated, he is a born leader. For a couple of years he was
member of the panchyat, the elected village council. Dadarao is covering
five villages and is very content with his job. When I asked him why so,
he said: "I am free to go to every village and talk about the
improvement of the education. That is important work."
